For many years Illegal aliens have done work in the US that, for the most part, Americans would not do--at least not for the wages provided. Farm workers will migrate from area to area depending of the crops that need harvesting. Often their children worked right along side them (not attending school, violating child-labor laws). Who paid them? Who looked the other way?
I have known many wealthy people who had nannies and housekeepers who were here illegally--brought here BY their employers for the most part. Why? Why did these "employers" want to pay under-the-table? It wouldn't be so that THEY didn't have to pay taxes, or so that THEY didn't have to do an accounting of those employees, would it? Also, what sort of responsibility do you think these employers feel towards their workers?? None, you say? Aha! Maybe that's the reason for them being here in the first place?? If they cut a hand off, oh well...they don't work for me!
