I don't wanna leave before my time is done,
Don't wanna stick around when my race is run,
I don't wanna go before they call my dance,
Don't wanna die askin' for another chance.
Ain't been cheated, or mistreated,
And I don't have to say not yet!

I'd live as long as I could in this body (If I got in better shape). This planet is GREAT, in most spots. As for exploding into space? What could anyone do? I'd minimize the trauma by committing suicide as soon as I realized it was happening, IF I realized it.
You'd have plenty of warning...the sun becoming a red giant and so on...that'd be a bummer! (Read H.G.Wells' "The Time Machine").
And you could NOT "drift in space"! Your body would explode, due to the vacuum. Sheesh! Just as it would IMPLODE if you were shot out of a deep-diving vessel under the ocean.
Humans need a certain range of air pressure to exist...unless they altered us somehow, bionically/robotically.

Living on this planet in the flesh forever is the goal for which all true Christians reach with the exception of the 144,000 anointed of God which will receive their reward in heaven as priests of God and as associate kings with Christ Jesus who will rule over the earth. This body I have will be brought back to perfection as well as this earth. My memories of this life will pass and all the bad of my life will be forgotten, I will be young again and will no longer get sick and never die, my dead loved ones will be resurrected with the same hope, and this earth and all the righteous persons who are granted everlasting life will forever have peace in paradise with no one making us tremble, and we will have the glorious freedom of the children of God. It's all in the Bible, this earth was created to stand to times indefinite and man was created to live on it forever without ever dying.Psalms 104:5 psalms 37:11,29 John 5:28,29 Revelation 14:1-5 Revelation 20:4,6 Revelation 21:3,4 Micah 4:1-7 Romans 8:19-21

No, I would not choose to live in this body, as it was conceived in sin, it is not a perfected spiritual body...& therefore cannot be in the presence of our Lord & Savior...which is where I desire to be most of all!! (better is One day in His house that 1000 elsewhere!) Yes, this planet will be destroyed & a New Heaven & New Earth will be in existance...that is where I wanna be!! God has such an awesome plan! As for my "memories" : whatever God has planned for me to know or remember...that will be awesome enuf 4 me!

I would not want to live forever with only the memories of this life in my heart. No way!
Doesn't matter if you're ready or not.

No. Living forever on this earth and watching everyone you love die one by one would be a horrible fate. God has much better things in store for those who love him.

I want to live the life that God has chosen for me and then die and be with him for all eternity in heaven.
