We will be staying with two Japanese families on our holiday to Japan next year. We would like to take gifts for these families but have no idea what to give - we understand that Japanese people like traditional English things (we are from Britian). - so does that mean Shortbread biscuits, beefeater toys, jam etc? What do you recommend or what would you like?

Mrs. Peterson phoned the repairman because her dishwasher quit working. He couldn't accommodate her with an "after-hours" appointment and since she had to go to work, she told him, "I'll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dish washer, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll mail you a check. By the way, I have a large rotweiler inside named Killer; he won't bother you. I also have a parrot, and whatever you do, do not talk to the bird!"

Well, sure enough the dog, Killer, totally ignored the repairman, but the whole time he was there, the parrot cursed, yelled, screamed, and about drove him nuts.

As he was ready to leave, he couldn't resist saying, "You stupid bird, why don't you shut up!"

To which the bird replied, "Killer, get him!!!"

Is there anything other than drinking that you can't do until you turn 21?

"Our race is the master race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considred as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet, and serve us as our slaves."

A man went to visit a friend and was amazed to find him playing chess with his dog. He watched the game in astonishment for a while. "I can hardly believe my eyes!" he exclaimed. "That's the smartest dog I've ever seen."

"Nah, he's not so smart," the friend replied. "I've beaten him three games out of five."

I can't sleep for the pain, trouble with diarrhea, and my stomache hurts. If I cough it hurts, but it doesn't hurt when I take deep breathes. This is my 3rd day with this pain but there isn't any rash yet. ould this be Shingles and should I call my doctor?

It's a luxury vehicle and worth well over $20k. I'm in a cash crunch but don't want to get in serious legal trouble. As far as I can determine, I've got the vehicle and the title and I should be able to sell this car and pay down the debt with the proceeds, albeit, not in the full amount. Opinions?

Okay, here we go...

For those of you that dont think colorguard is a sport, ill prove you wrong...

(First off colorguard is flagteam...spinning flags, rifles, and sabres while the band marches.)

A sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.

Colorguard is an extremely active sport. We have 4 to 10 minute shows. Which means we are running for at least 9 of those minutes. We have to be strong in order to toss 5s on rifles, doubles on flag and 6's on sabre.

Colorguard competes!!!! We go to shows and compete other colorguards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. We go to finals where we compete the finalists for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place again.

We are judged by a panel of judges. they score us depending on if we performed well, how many drops there were, the dificulty of our work, if we all did what we were suppposed to on time, and cant pass the penalty line or we r disqualified

I hear this analogy being made all the time. Defenders of illegal immigration say that the Mexicans that are coming here - most of which are descendents of the native Incas and other tribes - were on this continent first, therefore they have every right to move up here. They also say that this is a land of immigrants, and anyone who is not a native immigrated here at some point. Considering the welcome the early settlers received at the hands (and blades) of the natives, does that mean it is our turn now? The native Americans were not at all friendly to the new arrivals, contrary to the mythology they teach to elementary school kids to try to make them feel guilty with this new blood libel. The natives killed indiscriminately - women, children even. Attacked the early Jamestown settlement. And we know that the first Viking settlements did not make it past the first year.

I would say that Sony is probably the most advanced electronics company in the world. Why? Because they are able to conceal the "Sony Timer" within most of their products and no matter how many of their products you take apart, you just would not be able to find out how this ingenious piece of technology works. So what on earth am I on about? Well the Sony Timer enables Sony's products to conveniently time out either when the warranty runs out or when Sony brings out a new line of that product. Now this is probably not common knowledge - a search for "Sony Timer" in English a while ago brought up no results - but have a look now on Google and Yahoo! (you get more useful results for this on Yahoo)You will start to realize the scary truth when you do a search for "Sony Timer" in Japanese on Google - 350,000 results! You can even find a full explanation of Sony timer in Wikipedia in Japanese and English.
