I hear this analogy being made all the time. Defenders of illegal immigration say that the Mexicans that are coming here - most of which are descendents of the native Incas and other tribes - were on this continent first, therefore they have every right to move up here. They also say that this is a land of immigrants, and anyone who is not a native immigrated here at some point. Considering the welcome the early settlers received at the hands (and blades) of the natives, does that mean it is our turn now? The native Americans were not at all friendly to the new arrivals, contrary to the mythology they teach to elementary school kids to try to make them feel guilty with this new blood libel. The natives killed indiscriminately - women, children even. Attacked the early Jamestown settlement. And we know that the first Viking settlements did not make it past the first year.

So does this mean that we, as the new natives (even the Indians were not first, there were people here when they arrived - see Kennewick man), get to employ the same tactics as the Indians did then? Does that mean that I can go down to a day labor corner and start hacking off the heads of Mexicans, skinning them, boiling them, setting them on fire, killing their children? I only ask this because the illegal apologists use this analogy to get us to accept them. Their analaogy should be taken to its logical end.

Tsar: Problem with that is that almost nobody lived there. And it didn't belong to Mexico, it belonged to a hostile European empire. What's lost in war is lost. When the Arabs invaded Palestine and killed or exiled everyone who was not Muslim and who refused to convert, the land was lost. But now, the land was lost to the Arabs in another war, World War I. Fair's fair.

Jenessa: yes, I am just making a point. My point is that the whole "everyone of European descent is here illegally" argument doesn't fly, unless they want to start letting me scalp day workers.

First, Scalping was started by the US. Settlers got a pretty penny for Indian Scalps.
Second, I agree that Mexicans have no rights to our land. I agree that Kenniwick man makes a valid arguement for Human Migration throughout history. I don't agree with your racist views towards Natives (my family). Many settlers WERE welcomed. Many were killed in war as they tried to take what they couldn't buy. Many settlers killed indiscriminately, ever hear of the Pequot, or the Ottawa? Did you know that Natives helped on the underground railroad? Did you know that Natives helped the British defend themselves against the French? (effectively helping to mold our country as you see it today) Yes, the Natives fought and killed, you were INVADING. But, we lost. I refuse to let America lose (to illegals, to racism, to ignorance)!

But if you want to use proper settler techniques to defeat your enemy, sent them Smallpox! It effectively wiped out 3/4 of the Native population...... it should work again. Or, hey, herding all the peoples of a single group into a wood structure, locking it, and setting it on fire! Oh oh oh, you could starve them out! Yeah, just hunt every animal from the Mexican border on up to Nevada. Shut down shipments of food to stores. If they can't eat, they can't live!!! (btw, that's a bison analogy)

Here's the cold hard facts: land, countries, regions, etc. have always been up for grabs and still are. You either fight for it and keep it or it gets taken away. It's happened all over the world for as long as man has been here and it will happen until the earth is gone. So if the Native Americans (a misnomer in my view) are pissed off about their land being taken away, they should have fought harder to keep it. Same with the Indians in Mexico when the Spanish showed up. Instead of giving the world Mexicans, they could have kept their women separate from the conquistadores. If the Mexicans think this land was theirs, again, they should have fought for it. And now they're trying to steal it back, one piece at a time.

Well I suppose hypothetically if your going to go down that route, then you should reread your history. The settlers didn't just sit around and do nothing once they were attacked. They instead opted to attack native americans and kill their own women, children etc etc.So yeah I doubt if you go scalping around day laborers that they aren't going to retailiate.Seems I remember reading somewhere about how this gang member thought it was easy to beat up a day laborer and take his earnings for the day and the day laborer went and got some friends and beat the gang member and some of his friends to a bloody pulp.So yeah think on it before you do anything, there is only so far you can push someone before they decide enough is enough.

Mexico's a crappy country, and our legislators, 'representatives', whatever you may call them, have decided to 'step on the fence' and let mexicans move freely about our country at will, for the most part. Good old social engineering, really fills you with that civic spirit, doesn't it? Mainly, such intentional incompetence
points to one thing, the need for recall elections. Get em out of office if they refuse to enforce the immigration laws, get the border built up, get laws passed that reinforce existing labor laws with massive punitive fines, and the problem will ultimately sort itself out. People have gotten elected whose financial interests conflict with supporting and enforcing existing laws. Call it 'globalization', call it 'selling out the american public', at the end of the day, we've been presented with a bill of goods that we're given no legal option of refusing, other than voting, and that process is a little suspect these days, as it is. Money talks, and right now the money says 'open the borders, and damn the consequences'. Well, THEIR money...yours will be extracted even more rapidly through the higher taxes that'll ultimately be passed to pay for it all.

Finding out who the 'big money' is behind enforcement laxness and getting them out of office will likely be a herculean, time-consuming task. But, it's not impossible. People DO need to get out and vote, get out and speak, and make it clear to whoever IS listening in our respective legislatures that illegal immigration is not 'ok', and they should not tolerate it. I 'vote' for immigration enforcement. Countries like Mexico need to work a lot harder on fixing their own problems.

Dont' believe the crap spewed by the racist pro illegals they say they are just trying to reclaim Azetlan. But the problem with that is Aztelan was a mythical land that never existed in the first place.

So are you saying that sense the immigrants claim to have the right to be here because they are decedents of Incas then we should have the right to scalp them, because whats good for the goose is good for the gander? If that's the case then I say YES! (we really shouldn't scalp anyone but it's a good point)

wow - i really hope you don't think this seriously, but are just making a point.
and that is not what i say in defense of them anyway - do you want to pick fruit? do you want to work at a minimum wage job with no benefits? the only things i ask are that they try to become legal and that they try to learn and speak english.

That would be really nasty. Those people don't wash too often. Hair is probably crawling, like the houses they live in. But if it would get them out of my neighborhood, go for it.
