Yes - without a doubt - even in your 20s or younger perhaps - go to Dr ASAP!!! However if this is a bad pain that you feel in your back that is going to your chest - it could also be gallstones. Go to ER or Dr - shingles does not always show a rash.
Even though your gallbladder is on the front right - the pain is in your back and goes through to your chest if there are a lot of them. Kidney stones cause bad pain too. Find out!! Feel better~

Hey!
You should go to a doctor. Its sounds like a heart problem more tahn shingles. Shingles is an inflamation of the nerve and normally follows a path along the nerve. What you are describing sounds like angina/ heart attack? Possibly. You should never take chances with this stuff! Also have you been lifting anything heavy before this started cos it could be a muscle that is damaged? If in doubt - get it checked out!

Your symptoms also describe the symptoms of severe gall stones, particularly pain behind the left shoulder blade, through the chest, and stomach pain. If you eat some greasy french fries and feel like you need to go to the emergency room a half hour later, it is probably gall bladder trouble. If you are over weight or have had rapid weight gain recently, it is gall stones. Bloating and severe burping after meals is indicative too. Pale and chalky light-colored stools are are symptoms. If that coughing pain is just below the rib cage in the middle-right, it is probably gall stones.
You won't die from a gall bladder attack, but according to my husband, you'll wish you would.
My husband went through this. He was preparring to have his gall bladder removed when he searched the web. There is a simple "gall bladder flush" that is listed on the web. He thought, "What have I got to lose?" since he was up for surgery.
He tried it and it worked. 10 days later he was fine. He also had more energy than ever before. All pain left.
He remained fine for about 2 years, when he had to repeat the procedure. However, this time he needed to shrink the gall stones using malic acid from organic apple juice. That took 3 extra weeks, but the procedure worked again for a year. Once more he did it and it worked.
Years later, he still has his gall bladder.
Gall stones are not actual stones, but are soft and rubbery and can be passed using the procedure. They consist of cholesterol and bile salts.
Before you try it, you should make absolutely certain it is gall bladder.
YOUR SYMPTOMS COULD INDICATE HEART TROUBLE TOO.
Don't take chances.
If it is gall bladder, I welcome you to contact me. Either my husband or I will reply. There is information online about the gall bladder-liver flush.
It is best not to take chances with your health and life.
See a doctor.
If the attack get worst, GO TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM.

I have heard of shingles pain running along nerve lines but I have yet to hear of anyone complain that it radiates through to a different part of the body, ie. from your back through to your chest.
You should be showing some lesions by now. As for the diarrhea and your stomach hurting, it sounds like it could be something else, so it would be best to seek the advice of your MD.

Yes, but you need to call a doctor because this does not sound like shingles. It actually sounds like you might have a flu or pluresy. Please see a doctor right away, even with shingles you will need treatment the sooner the better!
