Does everyone forget 9/11? I suppose that all who died on that day were just in the wrong place at the wrong time? If you listen to the baldwins of the world that is the impression you get. I mean I feel band for the familys that loose loved ones in the war on terror, should we just forget about the victims who perished in NY,Washington and PA? I would love to shut up the uninformed cindy sheens of the world. 9/11 forever in our hearts. I am sad to say that these "anti-war" anti Bush people are Americans. To all the critics of Bush (NBC) France is still accepting cowards.

My 12 yr old son has been terrible lately. He is the 6th of 8 children. He has become so mouthy and telling me he doesn't care what my husband and do to discipline him. ex: sending to his room, grounding, sitting on steps. He says we hate him and we just care about all the other kids. Which is not true we go to his sports events, school functions and really spend a lot of family time together and 1 on 1 time with him. Today he was having trouble finishing up his homework and said that he wishes the teacher would die and he hates middle school, then he couldn't find his assignment log and wanted me to help him, I refused because he just got done kicking chairs and throwing things. The bus arrived and needless to say he went to school without his log. I have never had this kind of problem with any of his older siblings. I don't know what more to do then to stick with my punishments. I try to reward him with positive things. He just feels the whole world is out to get him. Help!

In The Republic book IX, Plato argued that most ordinary people did not have a strongly rational nature, and therefore needed to be constrained in what they did by being ruled by those who were naturally more rational. Phlosophers alone, he thought, would have sufficient detachment to be able to legislate for the good of society as a whole. It seems to me that in the past our leaders had more philosophical ideals than today. I know to be a politition you have to take some philosophy but should it be a bigger issue. Any comment are appreciated.
