There was a guy that I talk to on the phone at work. Sometimes during our conversation we flirt. He has asked questions and I responded so he knows I am not involved. Last week for work I went out of state to a conference that he was also attending. That night he asked me to go out with a group of his coworkers (there were women there too). His friends were respectful, attentive and friendly but by the end of the night one of his coworker asked me if I am alone by choice. One asked "so do you go out a lot on dates" they asked me what movies I liked to see, and asked a lot of questions about my likes and dislikes. With the exception the first guy, all of them were married. Although I wear an engagement ring on my finger (don't ask me why) and I don't think I was overly friendly that night they seemed to all know I was not engaged, married or in a relationship. Did they assume because I was friendly that I am not involved?

I am about 5'7" and 170 pounds. I can't seem to lose weight on diet plans. I even tried the low carb diets and eating that much meat was just too gross for me. Has anyone tried going vegetarian or vegan to lose weight? Would you have any additional recommendations for this dieting method?
