If you mean how long can you stay, it's three months without a visa. If you want to move to Canada, then you'll have to immigrate, which takes anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years depending on what immigration class your applying for.

By the way the 6 months only happens if you get fast tracked by a Canadian province for your skills or your profession.

Canada is a huge country. Where is Canada -- are you going to..the east, the west, to Alberta, etc. we have several cities and umteen villages -- and a few provinces -- different time zone, different climate etc. can you be precise-- as for the procedure..i assume you want to be a visitor only...and you are coming from USA -- given those parameters..you are welcome provided you have no intention of staying as an "immigrant" with no previous application. good luck.
