It is a tribal culture. People revolve around symbols of power whether it is the king and royal family or their tribal chiefs( sheiks).It is conservative.Saudi ladies are covered ,men wear unique dress,Expat are on their own They dress up whatever they like but they should be modest.You can do whatever you want but within the the established consensus..No alcohol,,lottery ,,that kind of thing not at least in public,,But the country is safe,,Honesty and high morality pays ,,Good luck

The Saudis are just a Extremist as the rest of the Mad Mullah Countries - But where will you find a Rich Saudi - Holier than thou Muslim - while in London - ? Yeh! In a Brothel or Casino - Drinking Gambling and shagging Heather McCartney.

well, the lows are very Conservative and also the social customs , but the tided the rules are the more they break it privately.
they don't do any bad in public but they have a full life in private

yes...my one friend lived there for 3 years and she had to wear and cover up just like the women and if they done anything that is not allowed...they could be thrown into jail!!!

No they are not conservitive as people think.
Only minority of them are..... and the bad thing is that the minority almost control the country.
