I have been dipping for 14 years and want to stop. I have prayed for God to take away the cravings but they have not stopped. I hear the stories of how God removes the addiction from alcoholics, smokers, drug attics, etc... Does anyone have a real life story of God working wonders to remove an addiction?

Dipping is the use of smokeless tobacco. Thank most of you for your sincere answers.
Also, there is no re-hab or clinics for this habit.

Yes - I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and so did my husband - God took the cravings away. I am serious - I smoked for 12 years and put them down one day and have not picked it back up and don't want to. Email me and I will help you and tell you what I did.
It can happen. God will help you - I thought it was going to be so hard and really, it was so easy. (I have tried to quit before and only made it 5 hrs.)
You have to make your email assessable in order to contact me. I promise my story is 100% true. I read some of your other answers, they are ridiculous - God will help you, I promise.

I don't know what you are talking but understood that you have some habits which you want to get over. With regards to some wonders as you are saying to get over your habits, there is nothing like that. You trust God and do your things it will work out and since it is coming at a time when you dont expect the same or not even thought of it. You feel it is a wonder!!
Faith and Trust is what makes aperson truly worthy of anything. To get above anything is to have trust in yourself and God. If you have that you can leave out your habit. Just trust God and start doing what you have to do to stop this things. Rest he will take care

Yes, He can. You have to really get down and pray without ceasing and it will be taken away. How do you do that? Every moment you think of it, say a prayer to God. It does not mean you won't have any withdrawal symtoms or that you won't want some but only that He will help you overcome if you put your trust fully in Him. I smoked for many years and stopped with God's help. Was not easy but got the job done.

Love God more than you love your addiction.
decide that you want to be free from the addiction and how your life will improve when you are free.
God doesn't want you to be a slave to this evil.
The Evil one wants you to be his slave. The evil one is a liar. Don't believe the lies that he is telling you about being addicted. God's Love is Stronger than satan's hate.
Get whatever emotional and physical support you can. Do not let pride get in the way of asking for help. Ultimately God will help you succeed.
You can do it with God.
In Scripture Philippians 4:10 or there about
"I can do all things through Christ Who Gives Me Strength"

A lady from my church has been clean from drugs and alcohol for about 5 years now. I used to pick her for church a long with her 3 kids. I believe she had just gotten custody back of them. Yes, God can help you. The bible says that God is our help. He knows and understands all of our issues and situations. Don't stop praying, that's what the devil wants you to do. He whispers things in your ear like "God doesn't care about you" or "You will never change." Those are lies. Speak out of your mouth the truth of God's word. Seek out spiritual help from a church or minister. Attend church and recite scriptures from the bible 1 Peter 5:7 Cast your cares (anxiety) on the Lord for he cares for you
There is nothing too hard for God...you can do it!

Sorry to say this but God probably won't help you stop. Having faith may work but those stories about God helping the other people are not true. The only person that is going to help you stop is you! You have to have more strength and desire in order to stop. I know it is going to be very hard, but if you truly want to stop, then eventually you will be able to, good luck!

Yes, I have a story how God delivered me from drugs and alcohol 3 years ago, but my part is to live in this and not to do it anymore. keep praying about God taking the dipping away from you and if you believe that by faith this will happen God will bless you in this, but you have to have faith that it will, you need to take an active roll in this process, you can not expect God to do it if your heart is not in it.

If you are able to quit it shows that you have the courage to be given other responsibilities that He has waiting for you. But if you are weak in this matter He will most likely wait. I say this because that is how He dealt with me in the same situation. Also, people who are miraculously cured have been shown to actually fall back into it again. Its the old saying that you value things more when you have to work for them than if it is just given to you.
