I never dressed like a hood, or anything like that.

I used to wear jeans or jean shorts every day. No they never looked old, but they were typically the off brand jeans. I also usually wore T-Shirts, or cheap polo shirts . I never wore brand name shoes (everything came from Wal-Mart or K-Mart). I would only cut my hair every two months or so.

Today I usually wear brand name silk, or rayon shirts, brand name jeans, and shoes (all purchased at Ross, Marshals, or from bargain racks. I spend only a little more than I did before). I have an expensive watch and a class ring. I keep my hair cut short, and carefully groomed, every month.

I replace my clothing just as often as before. The only real differences is where I buy them, how long I spend picking them out, and what brands. That is it.

People treat me very differently now. I get much more respect. Why is that?

The main difference is how women treat me. I think this is because I look like I have more money.

All I hear on satellite radio anymore are the same tracks repeated over and over again. No obscure or interesting tracks. All the same commercial garbage picked by the radio execs. So, essentially you're paying for 120-160 FM radio stations. Howard Stern is okay, but I don't think he'll be enough to keep Sirius afloat. How long before XM and Sirius merges or both file for bankruptcy?

I have these friends that I have had many awesome times with, but ever since summer started, they've been ignoring me (great timing!). But yeah, whenever I asked one of them if they wanted to hang out they either say later, or 'call me back some other time' or 'busy', only to find out they've been doing tons together! And the thing is, there was nothing wrong between us, no tension, drama, whatever. What's with the ditching? And I ran into them today, and for some reason it was terribly awkward, but they acted as if nothing was wrong!

After buying my phone (LG U8380) recently, I've been trying to transfer my MP3 files from my PC to my mobile, so as to be able to listen to it on the move.

I wonder why am I getting this error message every time I try to establish a connection between the mobile & PC, regarless of the fact that the USB cable is connected between my PC & the mobile.

This is the mesage on a postcard dating from the First World War of Southampton. I believe it's in Dutch, but could be Afrikaans. I would like to know what it said. I've managed to translate some of it myself, but as I don't speak Dutch, and there's no punctuation on the card, I've found it difficult.

I'm an old man aged 76 living 'somewhere' in Scotland.

I have 3/4 lb. raw minced beef (ground beef), an onion, a small can of carrots and a few mushrooms.

I also have some 'dry' uncooked spaghetti and some uncooked macaroni.

Can someone please suggest what I should make for my lunch at 1p.m.

Ideally, my meal should be easy to make, tasty and filling.
