Its apparently statistical, its not a listening device or anything, monitors dustbin activity via movement of the lid i think(could be wrong). Will people stopping going on about civil liberties there really aren't any, the sooner you realise the more relaxed you will be unless your a criminal( they are ones who need privacy the most)!

if ppl dont take responsibility for the environment then it is upto the local councils to do what they feel is best. your honor is still intact its when they put cameras in your loo your civil liberties will be affected.
