I never dressed like a hood, or anything like that.
I used to wear jeans or jean shorts every day. No they never looked old, but they were typically the off brand jeans. I also usually wore T-Shirts, or cheap polo shirts . I never wore brand name shoes (everything came from Wal-Mart or K-Mart). I would only cut my hair every two months or so.
Today I usually wear brand name silk, or rayon shirts, brand name jeans, and shoes (all purchased at Ross, Marshals, or from bargain racks. I spend only a little more than I did before). I have an expensive watch and a class ring. I keep my hair cut short, and carefully groomed, every month.
I replace my clothing just as often as before. The only real differences is where I buy them, how long I spend picking them out, and what brands. That is it.
People treat me very differently now. I get much more respect. Why is that?
The main difference is how women treat me. I think this is because I look like I have more money.

Someone, at work said I look more like an “Alpha Male” now. I just think it is so funny that nothing else has changed.

It's normal. People are hard-wired to see friend or foe via dress and mannerism.
If some people around you are unshaven and dressed in Muslim headgear and jelaba, you might be afraid, very afraid.
If you are going to a job interview you will wear suit and tie.
"Dress for success" has quite a bit of truth to it. The most successful scam and con artists drive expensive cars, wear expensive suits, drip with gold. It's 100% image.

Could it be that the reason woman are paying more attention to you is because of a certain "Confidence"? I mean when we dress nice (no matter the lable be it cheap or expensive) We tend to hold ourselves a different way. You know straight back shoulders up, Chest inflated, That sort of thing.
A woman notices when a man is wearing his clothes and she most certainly will alway's notice when the "Clothes are wearing the man"
Take that into consideration.
As we get older we become a little more confident in our choices. Be it clothing or otherwise. And maybe the woman and people around you are reacting to this sort of thing rather then the "they are lookin at me because I look like i have money" scenario.

No loosen up that's merely for exciting. Halloween has never had something to do with satanic ritual. Halloween is from the previous pre-christian, ecu religions, having to do with the time of three hundred and sixty 5 days while the veil between our international and the spirit international gets skinny. The mask have been meant to confuse evil spirits and invite solid ones. beforehand of Christianity there develop into no "devil"

Plain and simple- most people are superficial and can not see past the latest trends/brands, ideal clean cut mold of a man and dollar signs. Though it may be flattering for you now, reflect upon the people who acknowledged you before your transition.

We live in a society where people judge others based on appearance. It is just a sad fact of reality.
Also, I think the last line in your question is essentially correct, but I believe it's not so much money as it is appearing successful. People respect successful, confident people. (Maybe you exude more confidence dressed differently?) Most people equate money with success.

Some people can't see past the clothes or the hair. I don't want to be with someone who looks like they are on skid row but it's the person inside that interests me most.

One of the things that people try to avoid is Superficiality. However, judging people by appearance is the easiest way thing to do. It's one of the first things we learn as babies. Sight is the first thing people learn to master when it comes to processing information.
There's the saying of about "Choosing between what is right and what is easy."
It's so much easier to look at someone and judge them on the surface by what they're wearing and their appearance than actually taking the time to talk to the person to get to know them better.
We rely on outer appearance and what we see on the surface every day. Generally, it's easier to categorize people based off of how they look in order to save time.
We live in an accelerated society where things are moving faster. Information travels faster. People have busy schedules. People get more work piled on them. People drive faster. Everything moves fast.
So naturally people try to process things faster as well. Just look at what someone's wearing and judge them by that.
While it's true that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, Sales and Marketing people are aware of Consumer Trends based off of this.
The first couple words on a headline of a News Story can be tracked by the number of hits of millions of users that click to view the article. It's based off of whether it's a catchy headline and if it's a topic that interests people.
People would rather hear about what Celebrity was caught doing something embarrassing rather than reading a News Article that explains the effects of global warming and how to prevent it.
Sadly enough, I know that's how I am. I would be more interested in reading about what Lindsay Lohan has done this time than learn about Al Gore's Global Warming Information.
In regards to the way you dress affecting people's moods, it's because you seem to be choosing a more acceptable mode of attire that attracts certain types of people. The current mainstream of society approves of what you're wearing so they acknowledge you for that.
If you were in a Heavy Metal Society where they want ripped jeans and T-Shirt, you'd be acknowledged in that Community and the level of acceptance is contingent on the number of people in that group.
When I got to business meetings, I'm aware that I have the features of a young person. I get perceived as a Personal Assistant rather than a CEO.
However, when I wear a 3-Piece Business Suit, people treat me with more respect because the suit symbolizes success and so people automatically assume you must be successful. I've gone to Grocery Stores in a 3-Piece Suit and people would let me go in front of them in line because they thought I was someone important.
People recognize certain Symbols and those Symbols have a certain effect on them. If you wear a Police Officer's Uniform, you'll get treated with more respect. People will naturally assume that you wield the Authority to incarcerate them if they do something wrong. That's a Symbol of Power.
With women who think you have money, they naturally think you have some form of power. That power can also be seen as something that can protect them or shield them. That perceived Financial Security seen in you would be seen as an attractive quality desired in a mate.
People who see past the surface are more evolved. However, taking the time to get to know people is something not everyone can afford.

woman are the worst, includin me sometimes.. but i think that woman usually judge other woman cause they are insecure with themselves, its just too bad that its like that cause id love to wear jeans and hoodies everyday, and the woman that show you respect now cause of the way you look, are probably the worst people to associate with cause theyre probably the most insecure out of everyone. its whatever makes you happy right, and you should feel good,

A well groomed person has a higher self esteem and demands a higher level of attention than one that is not as well groomed. It is natural to give greater credibility to those things to which we find more attractive. It is, I guess, human nature to seek pleasant as opposed to that which we perceive as less pleasant.

Now, I guess you look like you have more money. People always treat people with money better. The poorer you are, the worse you're treated. It's the class system. It's really unfortunate, but it exists.
