You can still be friends. Buttt. Things are going to be a little weird now. I have a best-friend who used to like me. (claims she doesn't anymore) But there was things she wanted to do that I was uncomfortable with doing because I have a girlfriend. So, you just have to straight up tell them how it's going to be. And If they're your true friend. They'll understand. And if not, they'll walk away. And you'll know you could never really trust them or really count on them. Either way the option is up to you, on if you still want to be friends with this person or not.

There will always be the Question of Hidden motives" That's not cool either not if you value a real friendship. Take it as a compliment that this person likes you & excuse yourself from to much involvement. sometimes people can get wierd,,,, remember that too....

Well I guess you can, but its gonna hurt their feelings, cuz they put alot into likeing you. Me and my best friend who is a guy, we like each other alot. My friends tell me i should feel lucky cuz he likes me cuz im cool and nice and such a great friend. We like eachother alot, so i have feelings for him.
But the thing is, you can still be friends but its gonna be a little hard. If i didn't like my best guy friend, it would hurt him, and it would hurt me, cuz i put in 7-8 years of liking him, i would feel like I lost everything...even another part of my life. he's the other part of me.

Yes! you can be freinds, as long as you are honest with them about your feelings, and resist the urge to take advantage of them.
