I mean, I get that they were a major international port, and that there was money, both of which tend to contribute to a flourishing of the arts and sciences. But come on, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Leuwenhoek, and--I know I'm going to misspell this--Van Huygens, all in one century? What gives?

(I'm no chauvinist by the way--I have no Dutch blood. And the legacy of Dutch colonialism ain't pretty, but as an American, I have more than enough to explain and to apologize for.) Just looking for opinions. Thank you.

that could not be repaired in utero or afterwards, would u have the child or abort it? say you learned it at 5 months gestation.
think something like down syndrome or
spina bifida (but it cannot be repaired)

My daughter is 18 months old. Ever since I had her, I feel random flutterings, muscle twitchings, etc., in my tummy. I know I'm not pregnant, but its so weird because it sometimes feels like kicks. Has anyone else experienced this? Know what it is/ why it happens?

Background:
Sprained my left ankle 2 times.
Sprained my right only once.

I'm just wondering why my left ankle hurts around the achilles area, whenever I play basketball... but my right never does.

I can still play... but it bothers me alot.
Sometimes, when it acts up, it's hard to run.

It doesn't hurt as much when I tape it, though.

You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed. On your right side is sharp drop off, and on your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you. Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it. Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the Kangaroo. My computer started going weird after I left a friend use it to surf random sites. I have a red & white box that keeps on appearing on my PC telling me that my laptop is infected & that there is a critical system error. A symbol that kind of looks like a no entry appears in the bottom right hand corner of the status bar. I run antispyware & virus software and it can't get the following off my computer Trojan Downloader. Win32.Zlob.ci & SpywareQuake 2.0. How in the world can I get this off? HELP!!!

what should be the reason for doing it and for not doing it? i want to do it because i am kind of blind (but won't get any worse, most likely), 18 (old enough), and spending money on contacts and glasses. i don't really like wearing glasses because they bother my nose (all glasses do that) and are prone to getting knocked off when playing sports. also, they get wet in the rain. i just feel more free with contacts but in the long run getting surgery will save money and i wouldn't have to worry about the harms contacts can do to my eyes. i wore contacts for two years and finally they are doing good to my eyes. but is the surgery risky and worth it? has it become safer over the years? i just don't want to loose my eye sight or make it worse.

I mean, you can't see love. You can't really prove love exists, because you never know what they are thinking. You can't even know if they are lying. Does that exist?
