My daughter is 18 months old. Ever since I had her, I feel random flutterings, muscle twitchings, etc., in my tummy. I know I'm not pregnant, but its so weird because it sometimes feels like kicks. Has anyone else experienced this? Know what it is/ why it happens?

I felt that too after my 2nd child and found it very wierd. I delivered by ceasarean, so i assumed its the scar healing and once in a while slipping past some ligament or muscle. Each time i thought it had finally slipped back to where it belongs and won't twitch anymore... but some weeks later i feel it again. It feels exactly like when i was pregnant and had a baby kicking inside. I don't think its anything serious, so don't worry.

Just your body trying to settle back into its normal positions! It's a strange feeling and if you're not exercising then it is going to always feel a little weird as gas moves throughout the body, not just through the intestines. Also, if it was c-section, it could be scar tissue building. If you're overly concerned consult your physician and be sure to mention it at your next physical no matter what.

Are you absolutely positive you're not pregnant? Sometimes breakthrough spotting can resemble a period. I've taken care of many a baby that the Mom swore she couldn't have been pregnant. Be sure...take a test and call your doc if the feelings keep up or get stronger.

I continued (and still do) feel this occasionally. i always just assumed it was gas, but I agree that it is strange the wsay it can ffel just like a kick. We have probably felt this before pregnancy but never really noticed it for being more than gas because having never been pregnant we didnt know what kicks felt like.

Uterine spasms. The muscles in you uterus is reforming to it's natural state (prepregnancy). You are also sensitive in inner bowl's being reformed to their natural state prior to pregnancy. As you will find with most doctors they recommend at least 2 years before trying for another child, giving your body time to reform it self to it natural state and to burn fatty tissue that has form on the body during pregnancy. You may also notice some breast leakage, sensitivity, and form changes during these times as well. Suggested relief in tummy situation try warm bath, hot pad, or tummy belt , generally used during exercise. For breasts wear a very supportive bra , continue breast pads and hot compress. I hope this helps.

Just muscles twitching - or gas bubbles. Nothing to worry about.

Yea. They could just be muscle spasms. I also had them when I was pregnant and thought they were movements of my babies. Give baby kisses.

after my first, every grumble felt like something...it has to do with, you experienced what it feels like to have life inside you....wonderful feeling, eventually, you will go back to normal body functions, without wondering why the baby did this or that!

your abdominal muscles are regaining the pre pregnancy shape they had.. they were stretched out for a while now they are contracting back. when you are able to excersize they will do that even more.
