I'm an agnostic not trying to convert anyone just asking a question,
Currently the dominant religion in America is Christianity. There is a new religion that believes in the Flying Spaghetti Monster as creator. The text of this belief is found here:
http://www.venganza.org/
So there are those of us who subscribe to this as a religious belief; that is to say we believe that the idea of the FSM is just as valid as the Judeo-Christian God, and in the absense of empirical evidence, the validity is actually 0.
What happens if someone actually started believing in this, say I teach this to my son and he thinks its real.
If in 2000 years there are millions who believed that the FSM is the creator of all life on Earth, would Christians in the minority at this hypothetical future time have an obligation to say NO that isn't right the text you base this on is not a correct version of events?
Would you try and correct my son from his non-sense believe in the FSM?
