The best place I've ever worked for. I'd have to say was not one single place but instead several. I used to work as a Home Health Care person. This means going into peoples homes and doing things for them that they no longer could do for themselves, but still wanted to live in their own homes. Imagine getting to visit with terrific people while doing their household chores for them (dishes, cooking, making the bed). And most of the time laughing and enjoying their company. And earning money to support myself-what a concept.

Laziness has its bonuses . . . for a while. At least for me anyway. I can't sit and do nothing for long.
With all the jobs I've had:
Grocery Store
Library
DJ
Strip Club DJ
Movie Theatre
Independant Saleman for music and electronics
Serviceman (USMC)
IT Guy for the Govt

I would have to say the most fun was the Independant Salesman job. Kept me abreast of the new music on the scene and I was working on my own - with my own schedule (meeting the needs of the customer of course).

I've worked for the same people for 5 years, and i have the best perks of the job. No dresscode, u dont have ta wear shoes, pay is pretty good, u can mess w/ ur co-workers, and have tats and piercings.
the bad part is; my day starts at 4am and ends at 6pm. I work long hours, no time for social activites, and very laborous work.
But i guess being a fish cleaner/bait shop worker's not too bad or i wouldnt have stuck around for so long.

The toughest but most rewarding job and, therefore, the best place I've ever worked is at home raising my 3- and 1-year old!

Tower Records, where I was the rock LP buyer.

I got to meet all kinds of rock stars: Bryan Adams, Rick Springfield, Heart, Sting, Eddie Money, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, 'til Tuesday.

But it didn't pay enough, so I had to leave.

My pet salon. I love my staff & we have fun all the time. I'm the owner and employer, so I have the freedom to write my own schedule and pretty much do what I want as long as I stay responsible to my expectations. I have no one telling me what to do. I get to give the orders. I get to do my own hiring, so I have the opportunity of choosing the employees I actually want to work with. I get to take it alittle more easy these days while other groomers that work for me make me rich. Ahhhh....nice.

I worked as a C.N.A. in Maine. A place called L'Acadie... it really opened my mind. Especially when it comes to people who are mentally disabled... That job was like my second home. It had great pay as well... great time-off... great EVERYTHING!
