I have a muslim roommate who needs to pray 5 times a day for his religion, i can understand that. He ensures me, a christian, that I should do this as well. I disagree with him because my religion does not teach this.

islam teaches that the God of the Koran is the same as the God of the Bible.

however the God of the Koran commands that muslims pray 5 times a day at certain times and recite a certain prayer

no where in the Bible does it say to pray 5 times a day, nor does it list certain times of day to pray.

My question is, if the God of the Koran is indeed the same as the God of the Bible, why did Allah introduce this praying technique only to Muhammad. My friend took a religions course and informed me that according to Islam, Muhammad was told by Moses that Allah wants man to pray to him 5 times a day. Why was it never introduced before if we are to pray that way?

I met a guy on the internet and 7 months later we met and spend 3 weeks together, he lives in Canada and i live in Mexico. I love him so much but i know its difficult cause we are so far away from each other. He told me this is a very difficult relationship.

I know i have to met new guys but im so in love of this Canadian guy that im not even interesting in knowing other people, what can i do to forget this person and/or to change my feelings?

Do you people truly believe that those fools who make 10-13 dollars an hour would have the knowledge to help you perform your own home repair? They don't even know where items are for crying out loud! The most typical response is: "I don't work in this department. You have to ask someone who works here." So isn't it funny that NO ONE works in the particular aisle you're in? They're nothing but idiots trying to earn a living, fine I don't begrudge them. But please for your own sake, DO NOT ASK THEM FOR HOME REPAIR ADVISE!!!! If they knew the true answer, would they be working at Home Depot??? Think on that before you rip me a new one.
