I am gay and just saw "The Night Listener" in which Robin Williams play a gay radio talk show personality. I don't think he does a particular convincing job of playing a gay character, but I am such a big fan that, to my mind, he can do no wrong.

My meeting with him made me feel he is not. Although he does come across as gay to most people. Right now he is back in rehab. He drank for many years and then he gave it up for a long time. Hope this was of some help.

I'll bet you don't even know the movie is actually based on a TRUE story of a Radio personality and author in San Fransisco named Armistad Maupin.
Robin is an ACTOR, you know, they play characters of all sorts, it's his JOB!
