When you're watching a game and they show average, homers, and RBI, why don't they instead show on-base percentage, or at least add it beside the average (some do, but not all)? It's a much more telling statistic, especially in combination with batting average.

For example, if you were looking only at batting average, you'd think Jeff Francoeur and Adam Dunn were about equally successful (.256 to .255). Showing OBP, however, would show that Dunn is at a healthy .385 to Francoeur's horrible .282.

I'm not asking for runs created, VORP, or any sabermetric stats - just common sense things like OBP or OPS. Is there just too much tradition with those three categories?

This is to Christians... (not category for Christians under religion)
I want to stay in my marriage, but my wife does not. She says that she has prayed that GOD's will be done (as have I)... she still wants a divorce, and says that it must be because of GOD's will.
The Bible tells me that Divore is NOT what GOD would choose (ie... God's will).
Could GOD's will ever be "divorce"?
She says that she does not want to see a counselor, or our pastor, or read christian books on the matter, because she knows what they will all say...

I'm really interested in learning Flash, but I'm not quite ready for the $700 Flash 8 Super Mega Edition. I've been looking at Flash 5 or perhaps Flash Mx, but I want something cheap and effective for a beginner. What should I get and where would be a good place to get it? I can get a tutorial book somewhere if things are too complicated at first, so I'm not worried about that. But I'm looking for something possibly around $150 or less. Are there pro's and con's to those two programs? Especially considering their prices?

Personally, I think it comes from a sense of self-worth. They know that they wouldn't want someone else doing certain things to themself and so they have the respect to spare others that same feeling. Also, some actions come equipped with consequences. Murdering, Stealing, etc. are all bound to get you caught and thrown in jail or worse.

Isn't this enough reason for where non-theists morals and respect for other people's right to live unmolested comes from?

It squeaks whenever I play below a three finger C on a 2 1/2, 3, or 3 1/2. That's all I've tried. I just started this summer so that I could be in marching band. I played oboe before that. The high notes are pretty difficult too. Is something wrong with my instrument? Do I need to soak the reed longer?
