Some people confuse Nationalism with Patriotism.
They divide people into two categories:Those who think America can do no wrong, and those who think America can do no right.
To a mature,patriotic Centrist,neither is actually true.
Nationalism is the belief that a country's military can do no wrong out of principle. This is dangerous. This is NOT patriotism. It's also the reason why some people frustrated with this administration's blind ambition compare Bush to Hitlter. Not a great comparison, but both had the dangeours trait of being nationalistic.
Some people have adopted the "if you cant beat'em join'em" mentality. They cannot fathom that a country they were taught to believe in so deeply could make such mistakes,so they assume that the ends justify the means.Again, dangeours, mindless nationalism. And this ignorance is fed by right-wing talk radio, again, similar to a propaganda method Hitler used, with different politics.
The important thing to remember here is that the "liberals" on this issue DO in fact love their country. If they love it they would be unemotional to what is happening to it,to our troops, and our international relationships.

Because when you put a honest man in to do the job you want to support him and back him up. Why are there still people out there that think Clinton is not a child molesting pervert.

Because they still believe that we need to after 9/11 and to help other nations with their problems.
Personally I don't support him...but if people believe in what he's doing, then good for them...they'll probably get a good payoff in the end.

Because he has guts to stand up to all the pressure and still does what he thinks is right. We wouldn't be in this mess hadn't Carter for all intent and purposes given Iran to the extreme fanatics in 1979.
Here learn how Carter sold out Iran:

He's still the Commander-in-Chief of over 250,000 soldiers, over 75,000 Marines, Navy, Guardsmen, Coast Guard, etc...we wouldn't follow him as a leader if we didn't believe he could do the job. Not to mention, his position as our country's President alone deserves respect.

As Senator Kit Bond's ex-wife used to say, "The masses are asses." He's not our president. His corruption makes Clinton seem like a saint.
