I'm a student (high school) journalist. I consider myself to be, in general, pretty competent, but I often have trouble getting good interviews and quotes.

The problem I have is mainly with trying to write down what a person is saying quickly enough. I generally can't keep up with someone who is answering, and have to keep asking them to repeat things, or to wait while I write. This interrupts the flow of the interview, prevents me from getting quotes, and possibly compromises the ones I do get.

So...basically, anyone want to pass down some words of advice on how to take better notes during interviews? I know that a tape recorder would be the best solution, but for practical reasons, that's not always possible.

Ok so my brother is kind of a loser, he is 24 and has not moved out of the house yet except for a period of seven months but thats it. on top of that he has no job and hasnt had one in about 2 years and my mom gives him food cigarettes and lets him use the car whenever it is available. He also deals and uses drugs and has a prostitute girlfriend (escort). and also brings crazy skecthy people to my moms house. I just talked to my brother and confronted him what i thought about the way his life is going, I told him all this stuff he is doing is totally ridiculous and is putting our family in danger and he should move the f**k out of moms house, my mom says im too harsh but shes a p#$$y, and my brother hung up on me when i expressed my logical thinking. Did i do the right thing???what else could i have done really?he is not trying to better himself at all for at least 2 years straight.

Hi, so I had my period last week and it was really really hot. As i slept I noticed that my maxi pad was rubbing against my vagina and it hurt a little. Anyways, my period ended monday and now where i had this pain there are a few bumps, something that feels like a scarpe and sometimes it can get itchy. Yes, it's painful. It;s also on the lower end of my vagina towards my opening.

I am freaking out, my gyno is closed today but i am freaking out. Any suggestions on what this could be??

I work out and sweat through my undies, do you think that may have something to do with it?
