I had gotten a student loan a few years ago where they sent the check to me. Now my school is telling me I have to get all loans through them and they are giving me the run around. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good school loans I could apply for online that do not require me to go through the school. I've already done my FAFSA.

For someone who has been risk-averse most of his or her life, how do you learn how to take risks when you are in your 40s? Change a job . . . take a big financial risk . . . moving on from a long-term relationship . . .do things differently from the way you dress to where you go to hang out?

I have a few:
*I'm terrified of birds, but only inside. Birds outside are fine, but if my sister lets her bird out in the house I lose it.
*Fish scare the crap out of me. I won't swim in a lake or ocean because I don't like not knowing what might be swimming around with me. I even get freaked out by fish in aquariums.
*I can't stand people in masks. Walk-through haunted houses are too much for me. Last time I was in one I ran over a little girl trying to get out.

Im 22 and I have a boyfriend of 1 year. I was thinking about suggesting we get each other promise rings sometime but is that something for younger kids? My boyfriend is 29. My sister and her boyfriend have them and I think they are really nice to have but they wear them on their left hand so everyone thinks they are married. I wouldnt want that but do you think its ok to have promise rings and wear them on another finger. What do you think?
