Surprised you are surprised. Down where I am in Africa, we read and listen to everything from Europe and America. My 9-year-old watches CNN and Skynews (how many of you have heard of Sky? It's in UK) and he wathches news on local tv too. But you go to Atlanta and tell teenager you're just flying in from Anchorage and he will say 'where'? Will you tell such a person what is happening in Darfur or Beirut? We all need education. So read all you can and listen to all you can. Be the judge yourself, rather than depend on a biased media to judge for you. By the way, I studied journalism and was a reporter for 13 years!

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS etc. etc.
BBC is also slanted left as are Al-Jazeera and most of the foreign press. They hate America much more than CNN.
If you don't beleive it's slanted, go down to Ft. Bragg and speak to some marines about what is really happening in Iraq. They'll tell you about the good and the bad, not just the bad. I've done it.
Sure FoxNews is slanted right.
So we have as a graph:
Foreign
Press MSNBC CNN TRUTH FOX
The bottom line - the old addage is true: There are 3 sides to every story, yours, mine and the truth.

I'm glad you bring this up because I've always had that suspicion but haven't really been anywhere to be able to confirm it. I am not at all surprised - I personally feel this government is more corrupt than people generally believe. Bush was behind 9/11, I am absolutely convinced of this, to the point where it's not even a question. Interesting how we haven't captured Bin Ladin, but apparently Iraq is more important...
People need to start putting the pieces of this puzzle together instead of living in their fantasy "US couldn't be that evil" world.
By the way, I've done my research before coming to this conclusion (from credible sources) - I suggest everyone do the same.
One last comment - I voted for Bush and I get sick to my stomach every time I remind myself that I did. I was deceived.

This is nothing new, its been getting worse for the last 100 years. And as net neutrality dies so will the window to see other perspectives that we now have. If you want to watch a good documentary about it I put a link to a site where you can download "Orwell Rolls in his Grave" below.

Maybe it is the other way around. Maybe it is slanted for the country you were in. You need to listen to all sides of a story and formulate your own opinion.

The liberal media is in the other countries too only worse than ours! Did you stop to think of that? Or did you assume that the other countries' media tells it like it is?

I live in a "border" state. At least once a day, I try to listen to their newscasts. They tell me more about my city and country, then I ever hear on local broadcasts.
That's because we are all about entertainment and distractions. We really don't want to know what's happening because then we will be accountable for our inertia and apathy.
