I'm comparing Don McClean's "American Pie" with Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." I would think both of them are representations of American history and culture and that WDSTF is the "American Pie" of the late 80s-early90s (not sure when the song was released).

Anyone agree with me and/or care to provide some insightful commentary? Both songs have a great deal of symbolism; AP has more symbolism and WDSTF has more history to it.

I tapped a parked car in a parking lot and it put a pretty good dent in it. I left them my info saying I would be financially responsible and never heard from them. 2 weeks later I get a letter from the police saying I was involved in a hit and run and that criminal charges could take place. I called the detective taking care of the case and he said we would have to discuss this in person. What is going to happen? ANY HELP?

She had 7 really close friends and a ton of just friends. When I tell her it is too many to have she compares it to all of my family. I tell her it is not the same becuase family relationships can all be one way. (Example. My parents babysit and help out financially but I don't really need to reciprocate because they are not going to stop helping). But Friendships are two way streets. If you keep giving to a friend and they never give back you will eventually end the friendship.
I feel this is a problem becuase she wears herself out being friends with all these people. So how many friends is too many friends?

I just went outside to water the lawn and noticed that the bottom of the AC unit is wet and is actually growing mildew. The AC unit is in the side of the house sitting on a big square slab of concrete to keep it level. The other AC unit (for the 2nd floor of the house) is dry as can be, but this one is just went. This can't be good? How bad is this? Should I call an HVAC person ASAP?
