I have also had 3, count 'em 3!! accounts pulled for "fraud" or "impersonation". Even though every one of my parodies were clearly misspelled and all questions had "this isn't xxxx, it's xxxx!!"

I logged in this morning to my "Oparh" account to see content deleted and my name changed to "NONAME"! Yahoo said I was committing fraud even though I stated everywhere I wasn't oprah. I sent of an email saying i felt violated (which I did) and that I wanted an immediate response or I'd host my PAID website with someone else.

Needless to say I haven't received a response (I never have, I must have sent at least 20 over the months), I'm beginning to think yahoo Answers staff are mythical creatures!

Your friend won't get her account back, yahoo will simply ignore the requests and "Answers" will fall by the wayside as soon as another website opens a similar forum which isn't ruled over like a fascist state...

Your friend must have done something bad to have this happen, i am at the moment dealing with Yahoo with regard to an absuvive message left as it were by Ross Alexander however all people reading this may be surprised to know that the said person on here e-mailed to say it was not him and someone must have used his alias. Me thinking this was crap, then tried to post a question on here using someone elses alias, and hey ho it actually accepted it, so beware all, that people can give you a crap name when it aint you, obviously though yahoo have the facility to trace the proper culprit, so what reason did your friend get given by yahoo i would be interested to know.

Chatting and private correspondance is definately a no-no here. I would remind you though that's it's just 'points' - it's not like we get money for points. It's just 'points'. Maybe your friend was taking the level thing a bit too seriously.

Yahoo does not suspend an account for a single violation, they just yank the question or answer. To get an account suspended must have taken some work to aquire enough violations to show that it was a willfull act.

OK I am assuming that "chatting and private correspondence" is not allowed?

Yes I am still quite new to this but surely if somehow you discover you like chatting to someone on here they can't stop you - or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?? Please let me know

Depends why the account was stopped. If rules were broken then it is fair

Rules are there for a reason.
There must be more to that story than you know.

It's fair if she broke the rules.
