I am a multi-racial female, eighth generation American. If it were not for my brown skin, no one would question my ethnic background, but because I have brown skin, that somehow automatically makes me "African-American", even though there is no African in my heritage. America needs to redefine their categories ... it's not just "black" "white" "hispanic" "native american" "pacific islander" ... do you agree?
