Home Depot has free classes for just about anything. Other home builder supply places probably do to.
Give 'em a call and ask!

This site covers the basic mechanics nicely:

The material for this project is dry premixed, usually in 60# bags. Quickcrete is a popular brand and runs about $5.00/ bag, available at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Home Depot or Nation's Rent (Lowe's) rents a small electric mixer for $40.00/day.

Don't forget to pick up an inexpensive finishing and edging trowel.

Good luck on your project!

The best thing to do is just go to your local home store. they make plastic pattern's that you pour the mixed concrete in level it off and move it to the next spot I have used them all over my yard. Sidewalk, patio, around the firepit. they are great
