Well, its diffrent in each male, some will become a bit mopy and not want sex for a wile, and others will still want sex no matter what. the only question is do you ever want a kid, cause after its done say by by to babys.

but the major thing you have to do is think. the most males who get it done often want sex, without the risk of having children with new women. but your married so theres no problem there ^__-

well in your husbans case, if he has a very healthy sexual appetite, then a vasectomy wont change the amount of sex he wants.
but if hes appitite is low, then he will probably find its pointless, and he dosent want sex anymore.

so all i can say is talk to him, and see if he really wants it, then go talk to the doctors to see if it can have any side affects and such.

the bigest thing i can think of is not having sex for a few days after the vasectomy, cause he probably wont like it >_<
pain is never nice.

Just talk with him and the doc. and go from there.

Personally speaking, I chose not to go down that road, but some of my friends and two relatives did! One of my friends had the vasectomy, developed testicular cancer and died at 42, but the doctor didn't think it had anything to do with the vasectomy. Another friend divorced his wife, remarried and again divorced because new wife wanted kids and un-vasectomy did not work! My cousin's testicles swelled up so big after the operation he couldn't walk, let alone go to work for 9 weeks - and workers compensation and unemployement insurance did not help. And lastly, my other cousin's wife became pregnant at 47 because the vasectomy didn't work and delivered a lovely but autistic child. Those are just 4 of the 5 guys I know who have been vasectomized. Good luck!

A vasectomy only effects the sperm duct that flows sperm into the penis, nothing more. If the scrotum was fully removed from the body, well..yeah, then there would be a big difference...BUT they are only cutting the small tube, so chances are there should be no problems with sexual desire. In fact, a lot of men say it increases it due to the fact they know they can't get their wife pregnant. If you do want a pregnancy later on, there is reversal surgery as well.

It will effect it all right!!! Once he realizes he can't have kids he will want it all the time so maybe you had better think about it. With some men its a grantee they won't knock a girlfriend up as well. But is it safer and cheaper for the male to be fixed than the female less complications. But here's a site that might help him understand more about it.
Happy thoughts to you two:-)
