My husband is working for a restaurant that is going out of business. I told him he should apply for unemployment benefits while looking for a new job. His boss told him that if he applies for benefits, they will have to pay it out of pocket (The state will pay my husband, and the state will send a bill to the previous employer). I was under the impression that the employer pays some type of unemployment insurance premium to the state for such purposes.

Anyhow, if they will have to pay it out of pocket, we'd rather not apply at all, since the owners are bankrupt after closing the restaurant down. But if it's just a claim on their insurance, it seems like it would make sense to apply for benefits until he can line up new work.

So, who pays for unemployment benefits?

my friend is 16. she was put on lovan yesterday. the sideeffects sheet wasnt that good, i am worried. my boyfriend was on lovan last year and it completely changes who he was, he had severe mood swings and was a different person. my old stepfather was on them and he was really horrible to me while he was he used to throw me and call me names and hit me and assault me. it scares me. i am scared for my friend. does any one know anything about Lovan or anything it can do to you.

I get strange looks from people when i am out with my boyfriend...he is white and im asian. also get even worse looks from white folks when im out with his neice, they look like i kidnapped her or something....what the heck goes through people's minds when they see a white male and an asian female couple together? i know this is a look that wasn't too far outdated when all of us were just getting out of the 90s. i remember wearing these type of pants when i was in middle school and thought to myself "i looked pretty stupid and silly in these pants"! times have changed and many guys and girls wear gym pants that flare at the bottom. our legs need to breathe too you know. but now that leggings have become uber-popular this year, do you think our gym pants will slim down and become elastic just like the skinny look?

My boyfriend dumped me saying that he needed some space and I believed him. I always told him that I was there for him and that I was waiting for him. I waited for two months without a word from him, and after that, I find that he is with another person. This totally destroyed me. How do I ever trust someone again???
