One day Mr Jones went to have a talk with the minister at
his church. "Reverend," he said, "I have a problem. My wife
keeps falling asleep during your sermons. It's very
embarrassing. What should I do?"
"I have an idea," said the minister. "Take this pin with
you. I'll be able to tell when she's sleeping, and I will
motion to you at specific times. When I motion, you give her
a good poke in the leg with the pin."
In church the following Sunday, Mrs. Jones dozed off.
Noticing this, the preacher put his plan to work. "...And who
made the ultimate sacrifice for you?" he said, nodding to Mr.
Jones.
"Jesus!" cried Mrs. Jones as her husband jabbed her in the
leg with the pin.
"Yes, you are right, Mrs. Jones," said the minister.
Soon, Mrs. Jones nodded off again. Again, the minister
noticed her dozing. "Who is your redeemer?" he asked the
congregation, motioning towards Mr. Jones.
"God!" cried out Mrs. Jones as she was stuck again with the
pin once again. "Right again, Mrs. Jones," said the minister,
smiling and continuing his sermon.
Before long, Mrs. Jones dozed off again. However, this time
the minister didn't notice. As he picked up the tempo of his
sermon, he made a few motions that Mr. Jones mistook as
signals to wake his wife again.
He was just sticking his wife with the pin again when the
minister asked, "...And what did Eve say to Adam after she
bore him his 99th son?"
Mrs. Jones shrieked, "You stick that damned thing in me one
more time and I'll break it off and shove it up your ***!

I wear contacts and ordered my contacts through 1-800-contacts last year to avoid having to pay for an eye exam every year rather than every other year. However, I went back this year and it cost me almost 4x as much as the previous visit because not only did he do an eye exam, but he did a "contact lens exam." The total of the exams were around $155. Plus I paid about $140 for new lenses in my glasses and another $250 for the contacts. I know I got porked... which I didn't expect at all since I've been seeing this same doctor for 12 years. It's time for a change, what are y'all paying for eye exams nowadays?

Does Islam allow any leeway on what name you call the One God? How forgiving is Allah?

Also, does Islam make any distinction between Allah and the Christian God, or does it teach that they are the same God? Is the Christian God viewed as a false god and an imposter? Is being a Christian considered idol worship in the Islamic view?

I've decided I need to read more classics, and everyone seems to rave about Kerouac, so I started with On The Road. Well, I had to force myself to finish it, and can't see what the hype is about. If you've read one chapter, you've read it all. Maybe I seem uneducated because I didn't get anything out of it, but I read voraciously and can name so many more books I thought were better written and more entertaining. I just wanted to know what you think about the book, out of curiosity.

I m talking about internet. They start conversation for 2-3 e-mails and even the intor part is going on and they start responding....why? Its hurting me as it has happend so many times. Does it happen to you as well? How do you feel? People should atleast send the last mail with some line like 'Sorry, I m not interested' or something like that, so you know at least, there is no point sending e-mails like I m waiting, I m still waiting....It hurts. I am ready (financially) to buy a new notebook. I use my current one for work and school and carry it around with me lot. It is slowing down a lot because I run Adobe and Macromedia software at the same time. Now a new notebook that had a dual core processor would be of benefit, and those are out allready. My question is should I wait for the release of Windows Vista. A notebook that will come out with Windows Vista preinstalled. Would Vista help the system run better?

today at church we had a guest pastor. he said today in this world we as christians we need to leave christianity and become sons. because we as believers want to be like jesus. so we cant be christians because jesus was not a christian. he was a son. the son of god. my point is we need to leave religion persay and become sons of god. christianity is a new thing. so do you get my point. i asked this question cuz i want opinions on this. i agree with it.
