The usual residence of the soul or spirit (i.e. you) is in the skull or near the body.
You , the spirit or soul, can be in one of 4 conditions:
First would be entirely seperate from a body or bodies or even this universe.
Second would be near a body and knowingly controlling the body.
Third would be in a body( the skull ).
Fourth would be an inverted condition, compulsively away from the body unable to approach it.
There are degrees of each of these 4 different states.
The most optimum state from the standpoint of man, is the second.

Souls can never be located anywhere, unless it leaves the body.. But most likely.. souls are located in the persons heart..

We're only able to think in physical, human terms. Unfortunately, the soul cannot be described in these terms. It's everywhere in our bodies and around us and it's also connected to everything else in the world through an unseen source of energy.

To avoid confusion, read this passage carefully!!!
It CLEARLY states that man is the living soul!!!
Other translations call it "living being". Either way, it means the same thing!!!

If it's immaterial, then no, it doesn't need to occupy a finite space within the body, but it does exist only within the body until death.
