Run your line through the eyes of the pole from the top of the pole to the reel. Then tie your line in a secure knot to the reel and start winding. Wind as much line a you want on your pole.

first make sure all the "eyes" of the rod are lined up properly. then as stated before, open the bail (silver half circle wire thing on the real, flip it up) then, run the line through all the "eyes", then close the bail.

open bail and take line put through the eye guides on pole all the way up then close bail and your done
