I am about to embark on a fund raising exercise to raise funds for a local hospice. I intend to walk from Lands End to John O Groats (UK) - which is I believe somewhere between 800 - 900 miles.

I intend to walk the entire distance during my summer break from teaching. If I cannot make the whole distance I will go as far as I can in the time.

I intend to walk BAREFOOT.

If anyone has ever done something similar can you suggest or advise a daily distance walking plan?

my wife has borderline personality disorder, she has not been diagnosed yet but fits all the critiria. This is having a really negative effect on our marriage, she will love me one day and want me to move out the next. Its gut wrenching. I will support her in anyway that i can but i dont know how or what to do. As of right now she doesnt even want to touch me. it has gone on for a few days and happened a month ago as well. She gets these mood swings and then feels like she doesnt love me. Sometimes these negative times last for weeks at a time. It is distroying us and breaking my heart. I do not want to lose this wonderful women. What can i do? Is there any kind of medication that helps with this? I want to get into a therapeist but i have to find one that does the sliding fee scale due to our money situation. Those arent easy to find around here. Please help me. It would kill me if this family falls apart. (by the way we have a 2 year old boy)

I love to cook, and the more the recipe is home-made, the better. I've got cookbooks and there are great websites for all kinds of recipes, but I'd like to have some "real" family recipes; those are ALWAYS the best kind! I'm not asking for secret family recipes -- just dishes you loved as a child that Grandma made, or your favorite dinner that Mom used to make -- those types of things. I truly appreciate all of you who have the time to pass these recipes
along to me (and I won't take the credit for them - I promise)!
