i have a row of laurel trees about 5' high making a screen, but by the fence there is a huge conifer next door, and my 3 nearest laurels arnt growing, i know its the conifer, and i water and feed the laurels but cant get them to grow, any ideas please ?

I hope someone can help me.
I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP Garage Door Opener that simply stopped working. I opened my garage door and when it came time to close it, all I could hear when pressing the remote control was a click click sound and nothing moved.
Do I need to replace the whole thing?

I bought the house in 1998 and the garage door was already installed (I don't have the instruction manual to help me with troubleshooting).

We have all heard enough about Gordon and Kenseth and who was wrong in that race, so please refrain from stating that again!

What I want to know is how do you feel about fans (technically non-fans) throwing things at Gordon?

I think these types of fans are what give Nascar fans a bad rep! This is why people see Nascar fans in whole as low life, drunk, hicks! I couldn't believe my eyes, that was so tacky! Sure have your dislike for the guy, or even hate him, but show some respect! They weren't hurting Gordon, they were hurting (well, littering) the track! What a disgrace!

What can they or should they do about this?

I think they should fine these people severely! Obviously you can't control them by banning them, they'd find another way back in, or that would be good punishment (take what they love)! I know I would be afraid to go to a race and Gordon win...geesh...grow up! I feel bad for the kids who saw that, what an example!

I've been single now for about 5 months after a 2 year relationship. Baring in mind she ended it. Till this very day I still think about my ex on the odd occassion and just makes me think if I will ever find love again. I've kept busy etc and have no contact with my ex. I miss having a best friend and the usual things that come into a loving relationship. Just I am so scared it is un-true, I don't know how I can give my heart or trust again. Also will I ever find another girl/f or will I always be comparing with my ex. These little things worry me, but yet I am having a good life at the present. I do have alot of girls who are friend's now who I hang out with. Has anyone been in a similar situation where they don't want to be in love ever again and is to afriad of what is going to happen??

He's a Very active 20-Month-Old. The Moment He was Taken Out of His Booster Seat this Morning He Climbed on the Chair, Up onto the Kitchen Table and Danced Around.

I Took Him Down, He did it Again Until I Removed the Chair. Then He Used a Toy Shopping Cart to Climb onto the Kitchen Counter to Tinkle Wine Glasses I Hung to Keep Out of His Reach. He See's Me Coming to Get Him and Dances around on the Counter. Ugh!

I removed the Shopping Cart. 5 Minutes Later I hear a Thumping... He's Climbed up on the Office Chair and is Standing on the Computer Desk Pushing Around the Computer Monitor.

Yesterday He was Moving Books so he Could Use Them to Reach the Light Switches... and He Stood on a Leap Frog Toy to Reach Mounted Shelves so He Could Wing CD's and DVD's Everywhere.

Help! I'm Removing Every Stitch of Furniture and Large Toys out of My House! He Won't Listen to "No, No!" And Time Outs are NOT Working. I don't Spank... so that's Not an Option.

Any Advice? Before I Have an Empty House?

When my husband and I were married, we discussed children for a long time before we had them. We decided that the best thing would be for me to stay at home with the children. We now have 2 beautiful boys, 4 and 1 and I want to renegotiate and he says no way. My hubby works 9-5 , comes home plays with the kids for an hour and then onto the comp while I clean up, then it's bed.. except that I have a 4 year old with emotional and health problems and I have to do EVERYTHING around the house.. which was NOT part of the deal. I cook, clean, child rear, mow the lawn, fix stuff, call people, handle the bills, do the laundry EVERYTHING. ALSO.. he comes up with these hair brained schemes all the time to make money, and tells me that while I am cleaning, cooking etc to do research for him for his ideas... am I wrong to want to renegotiate?
