In Ireland where I'm from, cursing is much more socially acceptable. I would even go so far as to say it's part of the language. It's mostly used for emphasis. The tone of voice that is used determines how it is taken.

I'll admit I say f*@k alot and I definitely do respect myself. At the end of the day, it's only a word.

It's not just women, it's for men too. I don't cursing has anything to do with gender. In fact, the gender discrimination on cursing is ridiculous. In my school, when a guy curses, he's macho, when a girl curses, she's undesirable. But certainly, when you curse, you lose both self-respect and respect in the eyes of others.

Why does this only apply to women? Using foul language is just as inappropriate in men as it is in women. There is a time and place for it, when it is "necessary" but most people don't realise that and just swear without regard to people around who may be offended by it, and children, who shouldn't be hearing it.

Where I come from, people cuss a lot. It's just the way we are. I say f*** sometimes (especially when I am annoyed). It's got nothing to do with having respect for yourself. I certainly respect myself. And believe me, it certainly isn't the worst obscenity we've got over here.

I disagree - using profanity has no correlation to whether or not someone has respect for themselves. It is more a choice of how the choose to appear to someone else.

also the proper verb is Have not Has.

that's a very rude behavior, and of course doesn't fit to women. they're made to be nice and sweet by nature, not misuse the kindness that God has given
