In a video called "E Tao" (I believe). It was about a man and his wife who became missionaries in a remote village somewhere in a foreign country. After throroughly sharing the gospel from Genesis to the actual death and resurrection of Christ, the whole village began yelling and screaming in one accord, "E tao, e tao," which translates, "I believe! I believe!"
But then the documentary showed a segment where they thought about their previous ancestors who never heard the name of Christ. For hours they sat, weeping because they believed all their previous ancestors were in hell because they never got to hear about Jesus. The missionaries complied.
My question is this, do you think those ancestors are in hell now? Do people who have never heard about the gospel spend eternity in hell?
What are your thoughts?
