I think god will judge their ancestors by their hearts. A lot of people (some of them good moral men) live in the dark because they never knew jesus. On the other hand if god doesn't exist... you tell.

Do people who have never heard about the gospel spend eternity in hell?
Not at all. This is one of the many false impressions people have concerning the God of the Bible. All people everywhere (dead or alive) will be given the opportunity to know the true God. Then and only then will they choose to accept Him or reject Him. God's loving mercy is amazing.
Please read the article below which points out how amazing His mercy and love is and also points out some false impressions about the God of the Bible. You may never be the same as you start to explore the scriptures with this new understanding.
I hope this helps.

I do have an answer to this as many in the world have not heard of Jesus. In the mainstream religions he is in fact mentioned in pretty good detail. By mainstream I am not talking about catholics, protestants and such, I am talking about Christianity, Judiasim, Islam, and such. Yes, Muslims do indeed know of Jesus you can't tell me they do not because I know several religious texts quite well. However, there are some peoples that have not heard of any of these main religions. Most of those peoples are in isolated places such as the indigionus peoples of the rain forests where "civilized" people don't really want to go. These people have their own beliefs and own God or Gods. That is all they might ever know and will die ignorant of God as you know him. However God has thousands of names and not just one is the correct name. So for all we know the mane they have for God is also a correct one. But if by chance it is not, God also accepts them as they had no idea they were doing a wrong thing and therefore were in fact living right if they were following what their beliefs dictated.

I cannot answer for those in the past who have never heard about Christ. That is why the missionairies mission is so important because Jesus will not come back for his church until every ear has heard about the name of Jesus and had the opportunity to accept him. When that last person has heard, the rapture will happen and Jesus will take all those who have accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour up to heave in what is called the "rapture". It will happen in the twinkling of an eye, so quickly, that most people will not realize that it has happened, If you are not in this group, you will have to endure the Tribulation which is seven years of happenings on this earth where you will have to take the mark of the Beast on your forehead or back of your hand to be able to buy or sell anything. If you do not take the "mark of the Beast, or AntiChrist, u will be in a world of hurt as far as every day living. If you take the mark of the beast, you will not be able to repent of it. It is very important to accept Jesus as your Saviour quickly so you can escape the fires of hell. I don't want to be left here to find out exactly what happens cuz it will not be one place I want to find myself. Missing out on the rapture! Bad things will be happening on this earth after the rapture occurs and I don't want to be left here to find out exactly what exactly happen.
If you do not get your answer from the Bible, don't bother, as all else is propaganda and if if sounds good, beware, the Bible is the only truth to judge your life by. All the rest are just a hoax and trying to trick you with their mumbo jumbo

You see this is how some religions create a bad image. All those people ancestors are evolving just like they and we are. You do not need to know Christ for God to bless you with His grace. That is totally a man-made concept. It defies all reason that God would send someone to "eternal suffering" for not having the opportunity to hear the Gospel.
Come on people say with me here think about things, God is pure love, unconditional love, more love than we in our present evolutionary state can conceive. It is beyond reason that God would send anyone to eternal suffering.

Romans 1:20 says that all humans are without excuse. There is another verse that says that God has placed the knowledge of his existence in our hearts when he created us. Many Christian missionaries are now in remote places of the world. And now that we have the internet, everyone will know, because it is the greatest way to reach the world. Besides this, well, we have to leave it up to a Just and Holy God. Only He can judge the hearts of humans. Only He will have the last say.

LOL. I never heard of the name Jesus when I was young. That doesn't mean I live in hell. The video, especially religious one is always biased and exaggerated. It is all staged, not real life story. I am not Christian, so I don't think Jesus sacrificed himself for me. And I was not born during his time, so there is no way he can take away all my sin. As long as you don't believe in God, you will not be in hell. There does not exist the concept of heaven either. Only if you are religious, you have more things to worry about that you cannot control and is not real. Why bother?

Their ancestors lived happy lives... The missionaries forecs a religion ont hese people, and destroyed the culture they already had. Noit everyon can live in a religion that tells you you are supposed to suffer your entire life.
As for others that Don't know who your Christ is... they are probly living their lives in their own unique culture.
Not everyone believes what you do. Some don't even believe in hell. You'd be very surprised who ends up in what you call "hell".

Are they in hell? Only God knows. The Bible tells us in Romans 1 that God has made Himself known to all man. All includes everyone. Some people are fortunate enough to hear the gospel, and they can accept it or reject it. Others meet God in another way, of which we know nothing about, except that God said He made Himself known to them.
God is just. He demands justice. He is not unfair. He will not allow any person to burn in hell that did not willing choose it. Exactly how he makes all that work out we do not know. But i take Him at His word. I have heard the Gospel message-I believe it.

I think God reveals enough light for people to respond in kind and gradually He will lead them to the place where a decision must be made in accord to who they believe to be the one who created all things. We may know Him as Christ but they may only know Him as the one by whom the universe was knit together. God as I know Him is a merciful God and we do not know on this side of eternity how He works this problem out but I know that He is a just God and because we can come up with scenarios that seem impossiblr to us and that others might grab hold of as reasons to not follow the teachings in Gods word, we are finite creatures and cannot possibly know the infinite mind of God and how He resolves this apparent conflict. I personally believe that God holds all men accountable to respond accordingly to the degree of light revealed to the soul. If centuries before Christ a culture responded to what they determined was an idea that the universe was created by God you and I know that that God of creation was the person of Christ preincarnate but to them it would be Christ unknown by name but real in accord to the light of each mans soul. Only God knows the answer to this question. We can only speculate.
