These are two of the best authors of the 1900's IMHO. I also liked Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, but have not read anything else by him. I would like to know what you think of these authors, and who you think is the best sci-fi author of the 1900's. Please list your favorite book(s) by any author(s) you recommend.

First of all, I shouldn't be getting zits anymore! I'm in my 20s not my teens....but anyways I get them every now and then and can't resist the urge to pick at them. Problem is, this leaves scarring on my face.

How do I break the habit? And how do I fade the small scars left from previous zits?

WEll i found out today my boyfriend thinks im boring cause im a christian and i love god. So my brother went on and start acting differnet from me, like cursing(which i would never) and this girl had no God or purity in her life at all! and my boyfriend said he liked me like that, cause i dont care about God.

Why would a guy like that i curse, and slutty? other than the nice, classy girl who would be faithful?

Do you need special permission? If so, where do you get it or what do you have to do. Cuba is a tourist destination from Canada. Would I be able to enter from Canada or would this be against our governments regulations?

I was watching Hells Kitchen the other day and I watched the chef
just completly verbally destroy these people individually. I mean it would'nt have been so bad if he would have done it to one team at a time but instead he was just tearing into each of them. On commercial I reflected back to the days when I was working construction and how the forman would be so brutle at times. And then I thought about the people that are in the army and have to go thru boot camp. Why do people allow themselfes to go thru this kind of humiliation and torment? Is it just human nature that when someone is chewing you out that because it damadges ones pride and self esteem that we, as humans, become paralized with fear. What holds us back from retaliation. To be able to endure harsh critisicm and riticule would be considered a healthy mind to be able to over come the fear that may grip some people? I ponder this question of the human mind and wonder if maybe someone with some insight can help me.

Jake (the person i absolutley adore..and is gone for 2 weeks!) is in Iowa visiting some of his cousins and he is there for two weeks and is going to miss the forth of july. I am very upset about this because i imagined us kissing under the fireworks at my forth of july cookout. Well i call him 28 times each day just to make sure that he cant come home any sooner. I always have to leave messages though, because he is out of the area. But he always calls me around 8 or 9 to tell me that he cant come home. This summer isnt going to anything i imagined it to be. Infinity is a concept most of us either don't try to understand or one we barely understand. We know what it is, but we don't understand how or why.
What are the dimensions of the universe (or cosmos) and what is beyond?
I have grappled with this question since I was a small child. I am no closer to understanding or answering it than I was then.
Oh, once you have explained infinity to me, then please explain how it could possibly exist in any sort of rational form without God.

I have found, that if you are openly Christian nobody will think twice about you, or think you are a bad person. But when you'e Atheist, you can't be open about it. We are pretty much destined to be quiet about or 'religion' if you even want to call it that. i wanna know, will Atheists ever be accepted in our society, and can we, one day, be open about our religion and not be frowned upon?
