Back in August my stepdaughters signed up with aol dialup service, and called them twenty days before their time was up (some time in November), spending more than an hour on the phone with a guy in India who assured them that it was cancelled, and that they still had three free weeks, whereupon the girls told him they had decided to change to NetZero, so that would not be interesting.
After recently going through the bankrecords ( I was out of the country for a while...), AOL has continued to charge them almost forty dollars every month. I think they should reimburse that, however, I have tried them on the phone, and twice been "holding" for over 25-30 minutes before hanging up, being told that it would be better to get on the internet and chat with a live person there.
The trouble is, that it seems I cannot chat with anybodey without an AOL screenname, and my stepdaughters don't remember that, because they used one of AOL's silly pre-made-up names.
Good ideas appreciated!
