I have heard that (in hetro relationships) the woman generally instigates divorce, but the man causes it (always the evil man!). I am wondering if we know about same sex couples? This would be illuminating.

on his girlfriend, he's planning to get his 4th car, he doesn't have any idea where his money goes. I want to teach him a lesson an pay 1/4 of our mortgage. My husband disagrees....won't talk to me about it. My son doesn't help out with grocery. I tell him to do house chores he complains. He doesn't do anything without being told not unless it has to do with his girlfriend, she comes first. His family comes last in my opinion. How can I make a 20 yr old male quit acting like he's 16/15 yrs. old. How can I make my husband support my decision in raising my son's rent up?

A man who is a big part of my life is going through something that his mother and I can jsut not figure out. He's only 32 and that seems too young for a midlife crisis, but I can think of no other explanation. Is it possible for someone that young to be going through this?

How can I get him to wear it? He doesn't stink, but after a while you can smell his body scent. He tells me that his deodarant is cologne enough. He has gifts of expensive cologne sets on his dresser still in the box. I am about to insult him and tell this motherflipper to wear cologne or else. Am I being a pez? Or am I logical. Help me.

My wife has been depressed forever. Hasn't worked in 15 years even though we've had enormous financial woes. Past abuse of alcohol. She has not been to the doctor for even basic care in over five years. Sleeps all the time...she is basically a glorified babysitter (there to get the kids off to school and there when they get back - most of the time). Intimacy is infrequent at best (once every six to eight weeks) and she won't kiss or hug unless I'm on my way out the door. I've tried everything short of filing for divorce - but I'm scared of screwing up the kids (10 and 12). Her family, and mine said they would support me, but I wish there was a better alternative. I don't want to spend my next 40 years unhappy, without intimacy and broke. I want my kids to have it better (I work, parent from work, do homework when I get home, cook dinner most of the time, do 90% of the laundry, cub scouts, girl scouts, etc...) Should I just file for divorce and let the chips fall?

I phoned the dentist today to get an appointment because I've got a cavity in my tooth and I need to get it filled, but they're fully booked until mid September unless it's "an emergency". I said it wasn't, but how much pain should I put up with before I decide it IS an emergency?

Just now, the tooth hurts if I eat anything sweet, and it's starting to get a bit sensitive to cold things. But I don't have a constant toothache or anything like that (mind you, the pain when I eat sweet stuff, although brief, is ******* sore!!!)

When does it become an emergency? Is it only if it gets to the stage of having a constant toothache?
