OK so currently I live and work in Manhattan, NYC...but yesterday I went to view an apartment in a three family hourse about a mile or so from downtown Newark. I was impressed, 2 bedrooms, an included attic, bay windows, etc. floors varnished to a mirror like finish. GREAT PRICE!

Yet, when I shared with my friends about it, they all looked at me like I was crazy. "Didn't you hear about the crime rate over there? and about the old mayor who got into trouble for stealing funds, and the college kids who got killed, etc"

However, where I was didn't seem rough at all. It was next to the city hall, financial centers etc.

Should I listen to my friends (and the stats from an online crime stats website) and look elsewhere?

Or should I listen to my pocketbook and take the apartment?

I currently live in San Jose and plan to move in the future because i don't really like the city due to expensive cost of living, job falldown and traffic. I also have some bad memories here and just want to get out of here, plus i would like to see some snow during winter. Any idea where i could move?

I recently got an immigrant Visa to USA and i have a NYC address as my final destination, but now the person i was to stay with there can not accomodate me again, thereby leading to getting another place to stay in Houston, my question is can i just go to Houston as my port of entry to US, or will i have to go to NYC first before moving to Houston, will this not bring issues? if i change my residing address at the Houston port of entry, will my SSN and GC still be sent to my Houston address? please help me out!

Would like tips on less crowded drives, out of the way motels or cabins and good local cafes. Also, if anyone in the area has a color forcast for around the 15th, that would be helpful too. We're from Missouri and this is our first trip to New England in the fall. thanks ahead.

We are really interested in the StoneyBrook Golf Club Subdivision. Is this a family oriented city? Crime? Schools? All info will be helpful since we know nothing about the area. My husband will work at the Airport And I am a Nurse so very flexible on where I can work. Also if there are any other suggestions for great places to live work and play thats great for the family Let me know.
What area would one liken to the Manhatten of Orlando? For instance Atlanta to the Buckhead area? Hope you understand the analogy.

Hi fear friends, I and my wife are planning to go on vacation soon, we will drive our own car and will visit several towns in different states across the U.S. What important telephone numbers/information can you recommend us to take in case of emergencies like the car breaking down on road or any other assistance that we might need while traveling by our own car? Thank you very much in advance. Sincerely, Passenger
