I enjoyed Sarasota a lot. Cost of living wasn't great, but the jobs paid fairly well. It's a town that's very involved in the Arts and there's always something going on.
I live in the Tampa Bay area now. It is overcrowded and full of tourists about 11 months of the year.

I really like Ft.Myers alot.

Sanibel and Captiva islands are right off the coast...they are gorgeous and so relaxing. It does not seem like you are in the US when you are there.

Ft.Myers is nice cause if you want to party you go to Ft.Myers Beach and if you want to relax you run over to Sanibel.

My friend moved down there about 3 years ago and he LOVES it.

Weather is always, year round, between low to mid 80s-low 90s and the water temp is in the low to mid 80s.

Sanibel is also the "seashell capital of the world" and 75% of the island is a nature preserve, so it's beautiful.

That would be my pick
