I spent time with cousins & we had barbecue with DJ & music. We had a blast! I recorded the scene, as well. In reference to my what if question I posted a few days ago, I saw people throwing beads @ the floats, & no one got arrested.

I am interested in seeing the city, but since I will be there only a couple of days, would like someplace that I can walk around by myself. I was thinking of the Garden District, but since I have never been there, I don't know where is a good place to stay. I'm not necessarily interested in the bar scene, more the historical aspects of the city.

Wouldn't that be neat? Like vice versa of the people on the floats throwing beads @ us.

Since it is during Lent, will it still be fun on Bourbon Street? I have read you're not supposed to wear beads after Fat Tuesday. Does this rule apply in the French Quarter? Am I wasting my time?

I visited this beautiful city months before Katrina hit. It was a dream to go there on a small vacation! I am so glad I saw it before the storm hit. Honestly, I don't have a desire to go back until I KNOW the devistation is over! What's it like now a year and a half later?

I'm looking for a recipe from that restaurant. They have a drink called Mardi Gras Punch. It has peach schnapps and Parrot Bay rum in it. Does anyone know the exact recipe?
