I am visiting America for the first time at the end of September..flying into Vegas then moving onto LA and San Fran....any hotel names, tourist attractions, best areas would be very helpful.....books are good but i like to hear personal real experience of places.....top points for helpfull stuff...cheers guys xx

I land in LA airport at 12 midday, and dont fly out till 2am the next day, incase I have delays I don't want to book a an airport hotel. Will there be showers or rooms you can book on the ariport?

I am going to a conference there in October and I am from NY. I am being told the traffic is horrible worst than NY. I don't really want to rent a car. I'll be going from I assume (a)El Segundo to the (b)Marriott @ LAX. Does public transit run from point a to point b? I am also being told that cab's don't come on time when you call? In fact I am being told the buses don't run on time either, haven't heard about the trains. This will be a 5 day trip.

When I went to Universal Studios, I did the movie studio thing and I was it was extremely fun. I am thinking about doing a more in depth one, but I don't know which movie studio to go to.
