Indianapolis

We will be there in May for the Indy 500 and have decided to stay on the "outskirts" of town to try to save money, but we would prefer a nice clean suburb.

A friend just called and said that we have 6 to 9 inches coming in and there will be 45 mile and hour winds. I don't see it on the computer or t.v......anyone know? We live in the Fort Wayne area.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any place that you would take your significant other in or around Indianapolis. I just moved there recently so I have not yet gotten the feel of the area. Is there any particular place that is great to take them out to eat (yet reasonably priced..I can't afford St. Elmo's right now) or even something else to do? Thanks for those willing to help! :-)

I was in Indiana last month and just at the airport and seems everywhere people are a lot friendlier than anywhere I've been before. Kokomo In. motel clerk, resturants ect...I attended my best friends funeral and as sad as I was seems people just made me feel so much better. Is it me or are they a lot more friendlier there, even in Russiaville In. seems the people are just less stressed or something . Does anyone else feel that way about Indiana or is it me. Please give me some feedback.

I'm going to my friend's wedding in April, and never have been to Indiana. Planning on staying at a hotel in Indianapolis and driving to Marion for the wedding. What is the estimated driving distance from Indianapolis to Marion? Also, if you have any suggestions on other cities to stay in other than Marion that have a decent driving time, 30 mins or less would be very helpful to me!
