There are many good hotels in downtown indianapolis! One being the conrad in downtown and the other the catterbury hotel which is a very historical hotel and the only 5 star hotel in Indy! If you want cheaper than the Hyatt Regency downtown and also the Embassy Suites hotel is really nice! The good thing about downtown Indy is that all of the hotels are connected by crosswalks so you don't even have to step outside to get to the RCA dome or the Circle Center mall!

You may want to forget about getting a room for under $200 right now. The city is selling out due to a bunch of conventions in town this week, and Friday-Saturday is just about as bad as Saturday-Sunday. Hotel rooms anywhere near downtown are at a premium right now so if you can find one, even the crappy ones are around $300 a night. If you 're not willing to pay that much, check downtown after April.

It's not in downtown Indianapolis, but I would recommend the Drury Inn.
