Carmel is an excellent place to live and so is Noblesville. They are expensive compared to the Plainfield/Brownsburg/Avon area. Carmel schools are probably the best public schools in the Indianapolis area. Plainfield, Brownsburg, and Avon are good schools, but not as good as Carmel. I've found that people from Carmel tend to be a little conceited, for the most part they're all very well-to-do. I would recommend Noblesville.
The person above me suggested Greenwood, and although it's not the worst neighborhood in Indy (that would probably be Haughville), it's not the best, either. The Greenwood area needs some cleaning up, maybe in a few years it will be great.

It really depends on what the most important criteria are for you. For me personally, I have always been a fan of the West side ( i.e.- Brownsburg, Avon, Speedway) Hendricks County has great schools, but the pricing is a little high. Same is true for Carmel, Zionsville, Westfield, etc. I love living in Speedway because it's centrally located, and I'm a block form the track, which makes for great entertainment 3 times a year! Plus, it's pretty affordable. Happy hunting!

Warren has great faculties and that's on the exterior of city limits so crime isn't as severe. bear in mind that's a great city so there is crime yet once you get a sturdy community at warren it may be high quality. . My daughter lives in Perry township and the even have sturdy college. as long as you're outdoors the city limits could have sturdy neighborhoods each and every the place. the only part of the city i could stay removed from is the north it extremely is my own decision because of the fact the site visitors is terrible. Fisher up north is think to be a suitable city even though it may desire to take you an hour to get to artwork because of the fact of site visitors. Greenwood 20 minutes to 30 minutes in case you searching for a small city close to the city, Beech Grove is an extremely quiet my sister lives there. I stay in Warren Township that's 20 -30 minutes from downtown.. My son lives in Lawrence that's 30 - 40 5 min removed from downtown. Warren needed has an remarkable XL application if your babies are speeded up or particular desires application. in case you have a boy in soccer Warren has long previous to state the final 4 years. It concerns what your baby into and the cost selection. Warren homes would be somewhat greater value-effective.

I'm sure you'll get some differing answers on this one. Both of my kids went to Wayne Township schools (westside). They were good at the time, but I'm not sure about now. I have heard different.
Avon and Plainfield schools (far west & southwest) are also pretty good. I really can't answer for any other areas. Some of your decision will also be based on where you work and how far/long to you want to drive; property taxes; local utility cost, etc.
Neighborhoods and schools change over time. There really isn't a perfect solution.
