A friend just called and said that we have 6 to 9 inches coming in and there will be 45 mile and hour winds. I don't see it on the computer or t.v......anyone know? We live in the Fort Wayne area.

I live in NW IN. we are suppose to start getting snow after 10pm tonight I didn't here anything about the 45 mph winds 25 mph we are suppose to get 1 to 2 inches starting mon thru tues but at least we are out of the -22 wind chill readings. I live about 40 miles south of Fort Wayne. if you go to the yahoo weather they are telling more about the alert then the weather bug. hopefully this will miss us too. this is about the 3rd time they warned us about a storm. we will just have to wait and see. hopefully March is gonna be better than Feb. this month really sucks.

North is getting a foot of snow for sure. It's going to be pretty bad up until 5PM Wednesday...besides weather.com... google "channel # news in Fort Wayne" and It should give you the best results. I'm sure Valpraiso has a weather station or something. I live in Fishers (Indy suburban town) so I just use Indy's forcecasts.. but Indiana's gettting powdered in the next 48 hrs.. good luck & stay safe!

Yeck, here it comes again ...

...SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF THE AREA MONDAY AFTERNOON AND TUESDAY...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE WEST COAST THIS MORNING WILL MOVE EAST TO THE OHIO VALLEY BY TUESDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL CAUSE SNOW AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. AT THIS TIME... SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AROUND 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY FROM ROCHESTER THROUGH FORT WAYNE TO OTTAWA... WITH ACCUMULATIONS TAPERING OFF NORTHWARD TO AROUND AN INCH IN SOUTHERN MICHIGAN. BRISK NORTHEAST WINDS WILL ALSO CAUSE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE NEWLY FALLEN SNOW.

SINCE THE CENTER OF THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS STILL 48 HOURS AWAY FROM REACHING OUR AREA... CHANGES TO ITS TRACK FROM THE CURRENT FORECAST ARE POSSIBLE WHICH WOULD RESULT IN CHANGES IN THE AREA WHICH WOULD RECEIVE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL. THUS... PEOPLE IN THE AREA SHOULD CONTINUE TO LISTEN FOR LATER UPDATES ON THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM.
